Garden Whirly

The Whirlies are carved and assembled by hand in Thailand. The carvers and crafters are mostly rice farmers who augment their income between harvests by making Whirly Mobiles. Each individual animal is hand-carved from a single block of wood sourced from sustainable, fast-growing trees. At the base of each Whirly is a seed that is collected from the forest floor.

Directions: 

Each Whirly Mobile comes prestrung but will need to have the feather spinners added. To assemble the spinner:

1. Insert metal pin through the bead with feathers facing out.
2. Then gently, but firmly, insert the pin with the feathers into the pre-drilled hole on the back of the animal. Leave a small gap so that the feathers may spin freely.
3. Hang in the wind and enjoy!
